Real Madrid Academy: Pundits Hail Green’s Appointment
The appointment of Barr. Christopher Green on real Madrid Football Academy as a round peg in a round hole.
Sports enthusiast who spoke with The Vortex sports correspondent during a chat said they believed that Barr. Green will use his wealth of experience as a seasoned sports administrator to achieve the set-goals.
According to them, the Governor recognized the expertise and exposure of Barr. Green who is capable of taking the Academy to the next level, stressing that with free hands for him to operate, he would be able to build an Academy that Rivers State and indeed Nigeria will be proud of.
They expressed hope that the Governor is set to breed top class male and female footballers for the future in Rivers State and and urged all true sons and daughters of Rivers State to support the programme.
A sports journalists and commentator, Comrade Jim Udede-Opuka stated that the appointment of Barr. Christopher Green as special adviser to the governor on Real Madrid Football Academy is a recognition of expertise and exposure.
According to him Green has shown capacity and adeptness in sports administration, especially football, stressing that through established contracts, he expect him to streamline the appreciations of the elite Real Madrid Academy in line with the dreams and vision of Governor Nyesom Wike.
A sport reporter, Mr. Barivale Akpo said, “He is a man I believe has the experience and what it takes to build football, being in Rivers State Football Association (FA), that have understand the politics of the game.
Akpo said his appointment as special Adviser to handle Real Madrid Academy in fact that Governor Wike want to grow football and Green is one person that will be able to build and handle Real Madrid Football Academy. Governor Wike would be prepared to do the needful without politics and ethnicity aptly adding that with the appointment, Governor Wike has proved that any decision that would not make the Academy to grow should be avoided.
He also lauded governor Wike for the appointment and enjoined all to support the programme to succeed.
